Meet JBird: From Wedding Cakes to Dream Homes

Howdy!

If you know me, you know I rarely show up without coffee in hand, a smile on my face, and a story or two to share. But what you may not know is that before I was helping families find their dream homes in Georgetown, I was designing and baking dream wedding cakes. Yes, really!

Where It All Began
My love for baking started young, but the spark that turned it into a full-blown passion came from the movie Because I Said So. The moment I saw those incredible wedding cakes on screen, something inside me clicked…I wanted to create that kind of joy, that kind of centerpiece, for people’s biggest celebrations.
So I went all in. I attended culinary school, studied the art and science of baking, and fell in love with every detail. From the perfect vanilla bean crème brûlée, to tiered wedding cakes with hand-piped details, baking became a way for me to pour love and creativity into something tangible. Watching someone’s face light up when they cut into a cake I’ve created, that is the magic.

The Shift to Real Estate
While I adored my pastry career, life has a funny way of leading us to new chapters. For me, that chapter was real estate. And you know what? It isn’t as different from baking as you might think.
Both take creativity and precision. Both require listening closely to people’s dreams and bringing them to life. And both are about creating experiences people remember with a smile. Instead of tiers of fondant, now I work with floorplans and curb appeal—but the heart of what I do is still the same.

Why “JBird”?
Along the way, the nickname “JBird” stuck, and when it came time to launch my real estate group, it felt like the perfect fit. It’s approachable, it’s fun, and it’s me. At JBird Realty Group, my goal is to help people feel at home in the process and in the community they choose—because buying or selling a home should feel like a celebration.

A Little About Today
These days, you’ll find me helping clients in Georgetown, especially in the Wolf Ranch and Berry Creek neighborhoods. I love guiding first-time buyers, working with families relocating to the area, and helping sellers showcase their homes so they shine.
And yes, I still bake. Crème brûlée is my forever favorite, and I continue to take custom cake orders for weddings, birthdays, special celebrations, or even just because. Baking is a creative outlet that keeps my pastry chef side alive and gives me another way to share joy with family, friends, and clients.
